I didn't realise it was the same person in all three photos, mainly because the third featured a head covering which made it look like someone else. The photos are of Czesława Kwoka.
The photos themselves are not distressing, but in a way it's horrifying looking at them just knowing what happened.

You can buy Amaral's book, The Colour of Time where she has colourised photos taken between 1850 and 1960.
The photos also really reminded me of the film The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas, based on a book of the same name which I highly recommend.
