One of those bits of content that I really enjoy getting into at the end of each year. This year, the team at MKBHD put together a more scientific look at what the best camera is and took advantage of specific features like Portrait mode.
I voted, but can’t retrieve my results to confirm which cameras I deemed the best in each category because I did the test inside Twitters in-app-browser which just some capable (or willing) to remember who you are for long enough.
I definitely spent a good amount of time cutting in each category so feel like my results would have been accurate in reflecting my tastes.
I remember voting for photos that were natural looking. Anything flat looked terrible to me and anything too dark just looked like it wasn’t taking advantage of any of the computing power at its disposal.
I am more than happy to edit photos after they’ve been taken so as long as they’re as natural as possible then I can make any corrections I feel are necessary. If it’s too dark then it’s really hard to recover the details.
If you’d like to get involved, the site is up and open for voting until the 31st January.
